EAST PEORIA—Patricia “Pat” E. Reinholdt, 73, of East Peoria, died at 2:15 PM on Monday, July 7, 2008 at her residence. Born on July 26, 1934 in East Peoria, IL to William A. and Thelma E. Anthony Grafelman, she married Fredrick J. Reinholdt on January 31, 1954 in East Peoria; he survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Cindy (Jeff) Gilles of Lafayette, IN, and Beth Reinholdt of Peoria; 2 sons, Steve Reinholdt of East Peoria, and Ron (Karen) Reinholdt of Washington; and 8 grandchildren, Erin Ramirez, Kristen Gilles, Jason Gilles, Alissa Reinholdt, Bryan Reinholdt, Stephanie Reinholdt, Nicole Reinholdt, and Jacob Reinholdt. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, LaVern Arnold Grafelman. Pat had been a teacher at Bolin Elementary School in East Peoria for 20 years, and had been on the District 86 School Board for 12 years. She was also an inaugural volunteer for the East Peoria Festival of Lights, was a Relay For Life Co-Chair and was a member of the Fondulac Women’s & Couples’ Golf Club. Pat was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in East Peoria for over 70 years. She spent 45 years teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School and was involved in the Women of the Well Bible Study Group. She was especially proud of her trip to the Holy Land in Israel. She enjoyed china painting, gardening, carving toy boxes, and camping with family and friends. She was always willing to lend a hand to her family, friends and neighbors. Pat loved to bake and decorate cakes for her grandkids as well. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 12 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in East Peoria. The Rev. Ed Morrow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, July 11 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. Additional visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Saturday at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment of cremated remains will be at 2 PM on Saturday, July 12 at Zion Evangelical Church Cemetery in Pekin, IL.
