Daniel R. Noe Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

WASHINGTON-Daniel R. Noe, 22, of Peoria, IL, died in 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Daniel was born on January 21, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Raymond V. and Phyllis G. MacRae Noe. Surviving are his parents, Raymond and Phyllis Noe of Washington; 1 sister, Diane (Robbin) Goings of Mt Zion; 3 brothers, John, Michael (Pam), and James, all of Peoria; 2 nieces, Sarah Goings and Christina Goings; and 1 nephew, David (Dee) Goings. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Daniel graduated from Peoria Central High School, class of 1974 and attended Northwestern University. He had been a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Peoria. Daniel went hiking in Utah in the fall of 1978 and went missing. He recently was identified through DNA testing. The family would like to thank the staff of the Cook County Sheriff’s Office and the Salt Lake City, Utah Medical Examiner’s Office for their persistent efforts. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday, September 24, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, with a prayer service at 6:45. Additional visitation will be ½ hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
